Media Center - Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are an integral part of the Media Center at BCA. With the help of parent (and grandparent) volunteers, we have been able to acquire and process a large selection of media for the Media Center. We are only able to do special programs such as Reading Counts with the help and support of BCA's parents.

Media Center volunteers are needed to:

Label and process new materials.
Re-shelve materials.
Enter new materials into the computerized cataloging system.
Help students to find materials.
Read to students.
Decorate bulletin boards.

Reading Counts volunteers are needed to:

Label books with special identifying labels.
Work at the Reading Counts Store in the Media Center during "Store" week.
Enter points that students have spent into the computer.
